SUMMER RESIDENCY 2017

SUMMER RESIDENCY 2017

Open call
10.07 2017 - 26.08 2017

From July 10 until August 26 2017 PARK will host an artist during 7 weeks.

PARK is an alternative, non-commercial, artist run location for visual arts in Tilburg, encouraging experimental approaches. With roughly 250m² in the city of Tilburg, the heart of the Netherlands, PARK provides a regular program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, discussions and concerts.
Location of PARK is an 8 minutes walk from the central railwaystation. Museum de Pont and TextielMuseum are our neighbours.
Main focus of PARK are solo and group exhibitions of emerging and mid-career contemporary artists.
In addition the space is regularly used as place of production. An annual artist in residence-program concludes the repertoire.

The current open call is open to artists who work at the field of contemporary fine art. One selected artist will have the opportunity to stay seven weeks and work on a plan. This call includes no media restrictions: installation-based, painterly, sculptural, multimedia or performative works are all welcome.

The artists will be provided with € 1000.- all-in budget for this residency. This budget includes all costs such as travel, equipment, catering and artist fees.
Also, the artists will be provided with free accommodation in the centre of Tilburg and a 250m² workplace at the premises of PARK.
The residency entails the realization of an open day presentation on Saturday August 26.

PARK will provide technical and curatorial support plus advertising and announcement for the presentation.
