He likes that, don't get him wrong. Now he makes multidisciplinary theater.
Because that's where reality can unfold.
His name is Barend Boes Kaptein (2001). In 2024, he graduated from the Fontys Academy of Arts with R.U.R., a technology-driven quest for humanity, on the recommendation of AI. Since then, he has been working with post-futuristic theater collective Wraeth on an AI actor, forming genuine connections through imagination with collective MOS, and playing with gender norms under the wing of Studio Gina. He calls himself a designer of Image and Engagement and has been supported in the past by Theater De Nieuwe Vorst, Makershuis Tilburg, and ENT, among others.
Barend Boes Kaptein responds to the exhibition Schemergebied. The performance will take place on Saturday 28 March at 3.30pm.
