BRAM VAN HELDEN

BRAM VAN HELDEN

KOMMA #49 - theatre
18.10 2025

Bram van Helden (1988) is trained as a theatre maker and creates art through Stichting Stilstaan, with a preference for slowness, observation, spaces, and objects. He started out as a magician, but his work quickly evolved toward theater, installations, and visual art.
He loves to experiment and explore new forms. In doing so, he moves between different disciplines, always with a sense of wonder at the everyday things we often rush past, searching for the extraordinary in the ordinary. For Bram, theater is about creating space for the imagination. He gives the audience time to look, to wander, and to see the world as if from the top of a mountain.

Bram's work has previously been shown at Dutch Design Week, Theaterfestival de Parade, Willem II Kunstruimte, and Festival Cement, among others. He is also affiliated with Het Laagland as a theater maker for toddlers. Bram studied Theater Education (BA) and Music Theater (MA). He lives and works in Tilburg.

Bram reacts to the exhibition Picture The Room. The performance is on Saturday, 18 October at 3.30 pm.

Cooperation with Makershuis Tilburg.
