De Dag van de Componist (Composer’s Day) celebrates the importance, value and enjoyment of contemporary music by today’s composers. There are programmes in more than fifteen cities, featuring music by hundreds of composers active in the Netherlands, performed by musicians throughout the country.
With the six organisations De Link, Sounding Bodies, Het Concreet, Dyane Donck Company, Fontys and Strijbos & Van Rijswijk, various (pop-up) programmes will take place on this day in Tilburg between 1pm and 5pm under the banner of De Tilburgse School, between the Spoorzone and Wilhelminapark.
The joint closing programme will take place at PARK. This consists of a performance by De Link’s All Star Band, a music theatre performance MYRIAM by Dyane Donck Company, and a small exhibition of prints by Huba de Graaff.
