Vince Donders and Maartje Korstanje present the duo exhibition Schemergebied (Twilight Zone) at PARK. On Friday 13 March, the screening of the film Silence of the Tides will add a new perspective to their work. You are welcome to view the exhibition from 7 p.m. The film starts at 8 p.m. After the screening, there will be an opportunity to talk to Maartje and Vince about the work exhibited at PARK, their fascinations and the thematic similarities with the film.
The sculptures and installations by Maartje Korstanje and Vince Donders focus on construction, transience and what remains. Vince Donders approaches these themes from a more industrial perspective, while Maartje Korstanje works from an organic approach in which nature finds its way back. This shared theme forms the connection with Silence of the Tides, a cinematic portrait of the Waddenzee. Silence of the Tides shows the raw and at the same time fragile relationship between humans and nature, in a continuous rhythm of ebb and flow.
