Koen Delaere and Jeroen Doorenweerd have been working together as Zinging Tangerine for a number of years, having first come together through an exhibition at De Vleeshal in Middelburg and the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
Within Zinging Tangerine, drawing on their individual artistic practices, they are both interested in ideas surrounding ecstasy and bringing together different communities. They do this in an exploratory and experimental way, including through radio (rararadio / naradio013), Sunshine Ceramics (a solar-powered ceramic studio with a residency), and Drop of Blood Records (a record label / performance in Rotterdam).
In doing so, they collaborate extensively with artists, musicians and students such as Loran van de Wier, Marly Gootzen, Peter Fengler, Bas van den Hurk, Thomas Swinkels, Guido Nijs, Otto Kokke, Sun mi Hong, Cengiz Arslanpay, Fergus Feehily, Ruslan Barsegian, etc.
Zinging Tangerine is organising a week-long event at PARK in which visual art, music/sound and performance come together in a single installation setting, with a programme of presentations created in collaboration with various communities.
The event takes place from 22 to 27 June. Further information about the programme will follow.
